Thanks to Elisa Visher in the Boots Lab for this great photo.

Hello! I am a recently minted doctor from the Rothfels lab where I wrote my dissertation on 🤢Arabidopsis🤢… just kidding it is very cool! My work focuses on how plants use their microbiome to defend against pathogens and I used synthetic autotetraploids and a synthetic microbiome (with help from the Koskella Lab) to show how polyploids defend against pathogens better in general, but how diploids depend more on their protective microbiome. I also work on transposons, phylogenetics, and ferns.
